  • Hagia Sophia – Renowned as one of the most beautiful buildings in the world, the spellbinding Byzantine glory of the Hagia Sophia Mosque (Aya Sofya) is not only one of the top things to do in Istanbul but also in Turkey. Built by the Byzantine Emperor Justinian in 537 CE, it is renowned as the Byzantine Empire’s greatest architectural achievement and has remained the world’s largest church for 1,000 years.
  • Grand Bazaar – The Grand Bazaar in Istanbul is one of the largest and oldest covered markets in the world, with 61 covered streets and over 4,000 shops on a total area of 30,700 m².
  • Ephesus – Not to be missed, the mighty ruin of Ephesus is a city of colossal monuments and marble-columned roads. One of the most complete, still-standing famed cities of antiquity in the Mediterranean region, this is the place to experience what life must have been like during the golden age of the Roman Empire.

  • Cappadocia – Cappadocia is a beautiful region in central Turkey famous for its fairytale scenery, cave dwellings, remarkable rock formations and, of course, the hundreds of hot air balloons that soar in the sky during sunrise each morning.

  • Pamukkale – Pamukkale is a hot spring with calcium-coated cliffs and pools in inland southeastern Aegean Turkey, also known as Cotton Castle. Fun fact: Cotton Castle’ isn’t just a fun name for Pamukkale’s travertine cliffs. Cotton Castle is also the literal translation from Turkish.
